Today for chapel, we did the skit of "Ragman". It's a skit about a man who exchanges people's old rags for new ones. When he takes away the old rags, he takes on their burden, and leaving the person without that burden. The man is a figure of Christ and how he takes away our burdens and sin, he became sin, died for them, and rode again. It's a very powerful skit and the kids understood it. There were a lot of children who had questions about it, which made us very happy. For breakfast we were given oatmeal. It was pretty good.
We went out and played with the kids. We taught them a new way to play down by the banks. They loved it.
For crafts today we had kindergarten. We again did the Jesus pictures and taught them "Jesus' love is bubblin' over". These kids thought it was the best thing ever!
For lunch today, we had Heather and Ivan's favorite meal. It's called Ground Nut Soup ( or Peanut Soup). It was really good and you eat it with a rice ball. We also had pineapple and mangoes.
We were also invited to taste the 7th graders food. They had to prepare some food and fresh fruit juices for people to sample. They were all very good.
For the 4th grade crafts, we showed them how to make an origami pocket. We had raindrops for them and had them write Jesus loves me, and Jesus loves everyone on them. The two classes were so good with us and behaved so well. They asked a lot of questions about the Ragman skit which made us happy to explain it more in depth to them.
When we got back to the guest house, we were able to take a walk outside and down the street to a vendor. He was very nice and showed us how they weave their scarves. We were getting eaten by mosquitoes so we decided to quickly leave.
Tomorrow we are going to Cape Coast and visiting Kakum National Park. We have to leave at 5:30 am! Time to pack and get some sleep!
